Building the Future
Tex Design Solutions helps architects build the Future
Tex Design Solutions provides a software application service to assist design architects in creating an engineering plan for building NFPA 285 compliant walls. Architects are often frustrated that they cannot always design wall assemblies the way they want to, as not all products pass this code certification. The TexDS Wall Design Pro application reduces the time and effort required by an architect during the design phase. The architect will be guided through the decision tree as they enter their material selections. Once completed, the application will generate a usable report for engineering. The TexDS Wall Design Pro application simplifies and streamlines the process of achieving NFPA 285 compliance.
What we Do
We Build National Fire Protection Association 285 Compliance Design Documentation for Wall Structures
NFPA 285 is required in the International Building Code (IBC) for multiple situations. For example, it is required in many situations when combustible air barriers are used or when foam plastic insulation is used in exterior walls of construction types I, II, III, or IV. These construction types, by code definition, have exterior walls of non-combustible materials. The NFPA 285 test is used to determine that combustibles, when exposed to fire on the exterior face of the wall, will not spread flame over the surface or through the core of the otherwise non-combustible wall assembly.
Software Design
Our software is designed for the architect who is already familiar with the requirements needed to build a wall system that is NFPA compliant
Assistant Design
The Wall Design Pro application is an Architect Assistant that provides a complete wall structure design document in a matter of minutes
Simple Design
Wall Design Pro does all of the hard work with the material specifications in the background. You just need to “select” with a few clicks the materials you would like to use and the application does the rest
